Jeju Island :-)

These pics are from my trip to Jejudo Island.  Jeju is kinda like Hawaii is for us, a vacation get away.  It’s a semi tropical climate and the Island is made from volcanoes.  To drive from top to bottom would take about 2 hours and to go from side to side would take about 3 hours.  Strangely, the tallest Mt. in Korea is Mt. Halla  which is in the center of Jeju Island and every thing goes out from there.  I’m pretty confident in saying that there are no active volcanoes in Korea.  If there is, I’ve not heard of it.

The landscape of Jeju I think is more striking when viewing it from a distance.  The horizon is filled with stand alone Mts.   Not something I’m used to seeing when looking at Mts.  Halla has a Mt. range, (hard to call it a range since it’s geographically so small :-) but outside of that, the valleys are long and flat, not what we are used to for valleys at all.  It’s really quite beautiful.

The first day of our trip you will see pics from a volcano, a waterfall, and a coast line.  The next day was Sunday, so after church, lunch and a nap lol, we went to Woodo Island which is a very small island off of the eastern side of Jeju.  Monday we got up at 4:30 so I could get some incredible sunrise shots.  Well, there were a lot of clouds to look at. :-P  I did get a few pics, but it was long after sunrise when the clouds finally move off.  Nut bunnies!  The comments below the sunrise pics are taken from tourist info that I have.  We then went to Halla Mt. and then back to bed.  4:30 with a major climb is just too much lol.  After our nap is was back to the airport and grub at another most wonderful restaurant.

Well, I hope you enjoy the pics and can get at least some idea of what Jeju is like.  You better enjoy them!  It took me 4 hours to do all of the work needed to post them :-P  But, you are worth it and I love the comments.  Nothing but love for ya baby, nothing but love.  lol

Hmmm, great dilemma eh. Well, maybe if you asked the photographer, you might persuade him to send you some high quality email photos. Just a thought.

One thing's for certain, for a small fee, almost anything can be accomplished :-P

Darren-s back! I was getting worried that you had given up on me cause of my slower blogging pace these days. :) Goood to have you back in the fold so to speak.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. I'm so glad to hear it. Do you still have a blog? What about you there Al?

Any one seen Greg lately? I haven't heard from him since I told him to use information lol :-)

k, your question really has me confused???? I don't get it. I re-read me blog posts, and well, where did you get a neck tie???? Nothing kills a joke worse than having to x-plain it, but....I'm not a proud man, what can I say. I'll risk looking stupid if it means I can understand. :-)

As to me camera, yep, overall I'm pretty happy with it. It does take some beauty pics. It has two macro modes, macro and super-mac. I've only used the super mac once or twice. The spidy pics are just regular old mac. Good thing the spiders weren't jumpy. :-S lol

Oh that's too funny. Need to buy a splint for that finger I think.

I finally figured out who you are, it's Greg! Nice to have you back. It took me a bit but I worked it out. The temps you faced in Wyoming sound pretty nasty. I know certian places out there get darn right dasterdly.
